British International Investment and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to strengthen their partnership and mobilise private capital for sustainable economic development across emerging markets.
The agreement sets out a framework for closer collaboration, including the sharing of best practice and joint engagement with institutional and private investors. It aims to unlock additional capital and scale investment into projects that drive inclusive, sustainable growth.
The memorandum was signed at 10 Downing Street during a business roundtable held alongside a meeting between the Prime Ministers of the UK and Japan.
