What does it mean to be a responsible investor?

We know that building resilient businesses with strong environmental, social and business integrity practices is core to long-term growth and economic development.

So as a responsible investor, a key part of what we do is support the companies and funds that we invest in to manage their environmental, social and business integrity risks. In practice, this can span everything from opportunities to protect people and the environment; to how we reduce or prevent unethical and criminal business practices in our investments.

Our Policy on Responsible Investing ensures we’re maintaining world-class standards in responsible investing, and sets out what we ask of the companies and funds we invest in.

We’ve put together this short animation to explain more about our approach.
