Read CDC’s Nick O’Donohoe and Yasemin Saltuk Lamy in the Stanford Social Innovation Review

Just over 10 years ago, our CEO, Nick O’Donohoe, and Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Yasemin Saltuk Lamy, were leading JP Morgan’s social finance business. Along with their colleague Christina Leijonhufvud – now the CEO of impact verification company BlueMark – and the Rockefeller Foundation, they wrote a report looking at what the decade ahead might bring for impact investment.

The authors all knew that the movement would grow, they just didn’t foresee quite how much it would. One of their predictions was that, by 2020, impact investment would reach somewhere between $400 billion and $1 trillion in assets under management. In 2020, according to the Global Impact Investing Network – or GIIN – the actual figure was around $715 billion, though other estimates place that figure much higher.

Now, for the Stanford Social Innovation Review (SSIR), Nick, Yasemin and Christina have got together again to write this article on where impact investment might be by 2030. You can read it here: https://ssir.org/articles/entry/the_next_10_years_of_impact_investment
