About the Summit

Earlier this year BII were joined by over 150 of partners in Colombo, Sri Lanka for our flagship venture capital summit – Innovation for Impact (I4I). This event brings together leaders from across the VC ecosystem in Africa and South Asia, including investors and start-up founders for two days of insight, inspiration, discussions and networking. 

This year’s discussions focussed on challenges and opportunities across the VC ecosystem in these regions. Conversations drilled down on shared experiences and highlighted best practice. Themes included south south collaboration, incorporating ESG, climate innovation, AI, EV and Agtech.

Presentation from Ashish Fafadia of Blume Ventures and Novastar’s Abel Boreto on the EV market in Africa and South Asia.

Presentation by Jinesh Shah of Omnivore and Hossam Allam of the Climate Resilience Fund, in which they explore the state of the Agtech market in Africa and South Asia.
