In this interview from our Annual Review 2016, ‘Supporting the potential of people’, CDC’s Chairman, Graham Wrigley, and Diana Noble, the former Chief Executive, look back at their highlights from 2016. In the interview, Diana calls it “an immense year”, largely due to the “productivity of the team.”
They also discuss why people are so important to CDC’s work and the role of development finance in achieving the Global Goals. One of the ways development finance institutions like CDC help is, according to Graham, “to encourage private capital investment where it doesn’t usually go.”
